Nourish Your Soul

Over these past few years, it has been challenging to find news that warms the heart. I was so excited to see this news clip about teenagers stepping up to the plate to help their community. Sackets Harbor Volunteer EMS Department lost many of its volunteers during the pandemic. These teens decided to address the need and, after school and on the weekends, started training and putting in hours as EMS volunteers. When you watch this clip, you see the emotions that come from these selfless teens. Giving back to the community is a great form of primary nutrition. Being of service not only helps another person, but it also gives you a sense of accomplishment, belonging, and a skill set that makes you a mentor within your community. I call this a win, win! Where in your life are you a mentor? What are your current roles or where you would like to start volunteering? Please share in the comments 🙂
