Week 2: Action Step Check In
Happy Wednesday. We are halfway through week 2 of the Holiday Health Challenge. How are you feeling? What’s working? What isn’t working? It helps to document your progress so you can look back and see what got you to a particular point.
My goal for this challenge is to take charge of portion control. Whenever I am with my family, we get in a bad habit of circling through the kitchen and grazing while we socialize. My action step is to use a salad plate to keep me honest about how much I am consuming. Instead of sticking my hand in a bag or grabbing something out of the fridge, I have taken the small plate and made a plate whenever I felt the urge to eat. I am keeping track of how many plates full of food I have consumed. It hasn’t been perfect, but I am able to document the trends around my desire to snack all day long with family.
