Day one: Acceptance
Welcome to the Holiday Health Challenge! Several holidays fall around this time of year and, no matter what your religion or culture, food and stress seem to go hand-in-hand with the holidays. So we are going to start this challenge by simply acknowledging this is the case. Where’s the rub? What is challenging about holidays? Remember, our nutrition isn’t limited to the plate. While portion control or trans fats may be your biggest obstacle, loneliness or a strained relationship may be your source of stress and that is valid. When you reply to this post, please share your pain point by saying: “I accept that ________ is a part of the holiday season.”
